Balancing Digital Sovereignties

Bonsai is engaging the G77+China grouping at the UN via the chairmanship of Uganda, to whom we have submitted a concept note on “Balancing Sovereignties in the Digital Era” towards a major event to be co-convened with three G77 governments, and a couple of other private sector partners at the UN headquarters in NY and in the context of Member States’ ongoing negotiations of the Global Digital Compact. This event will amount to a major contribution to the negotiation process and policy formulation of the eventual Global Digital Compact, which is expected to be voted on by heads of state/government at the Summit of the Future at UNGA in September 2024. Additionally, we are confident that this event and our engagement efforts with G77+China diplomats will shape and influence thinking and language that will go into the final document of the Global Digital Compact.
