Paul Mikov
CEO
Paul serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Bonsai, spearheading strategy, business development, and partnerships.
Before joining Bonsai, Paul held the position of Senior Vice President for Global Partnerships at The New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS), where he played a pivotal role in advancing business development and innovation across key programs. Simultaneously, Paul served in a senior advisory capacity on the global leadership team of UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited initiative. Additionally, he has held Adjunct Professor roles at Fordham University’s Department of Political Science in New York and Kettering College in Ohio.
Prior to his tenure at NYAS, Paul held executive positions in prominent international NGOs, including a decade-long tenure at World Vision International, a $3 billion NGO. During his seven-year role as the Director of WVI’s New York Office and the organization’s chief UN Representative, Paul actively engaged in crucial policy and operational areas within the UN and the broader multilateral policy domains and international organizations. He led government relations, collaborated closely with the UN Security Council, key organs and committees of the General Assembly, the UN Peacebuilding Commission, and major UN specialized agencies.
Throughout his career, Paul has been a notable presence in significant global decision-making centers such as New York, Geneva, Brussels, Washington, D.C., London, Nairobi, and Amman. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in business, two master’s degrees, and a senior executive fellowship from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Micah McClimans

Micah worked for several years as an independent portfolio manager in close coordination with qSpark Capital, where he extensively used AI technologies to design automated stock trading systems. He later worked directly with the New York Stock Exchange helping build central pieces of stock market technical infrastructure. In recent years and leading leading up to co-founding Bonsai he has participated actively in the global AI and FinTech startup ecosystem in both advisorial and entrepreneurial capacities. He has now built or consulted on the building of an array of new technical products across both the AI and Financial industries.

Bénédicte Yenyi
Convening Function Coordinator & Executive Assistant to CEO
Bénédicte Yenyi is a Scoville Fellow dedicated to addressing International Peace and Security
issues. She holds a Masters’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy from the School
of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. In addition to her concentration in
Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy, she has a minor in Technology, Media, and
Communications, as well as International Organization & U.N. Studies.
Bénédicte has served as a student consultant for the United Nations, Executive Office of the
Secretary-General, in which role, she contributed to the formation of policy recommendations
aimed at implementing the Sustainable Development Goals Stimulus plan in Ghana, Malawi, and Uganda.
Bénédicte also brings experience from her work in policy and media at the Office of Governor
Phil Scott of Vermont, as well as at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Brennan Lodge
Special Advisor, AI Governance
Brennan is a self-proclaimed data nerd. He has been working in the financial industry for the past 15+ years and is striving to save the world with a little help from our machine friends.
He has held cyber security, data scientist, and leadership roles at JP Morgan Chase, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs, BlockFi and HSBC. Brennan holds a masters’ degree in Business Analytics from New York University. He is also a professor at NYU teaching a masters program class on Information Management and Analytics.

Carlos de Oliveira, Ph.D.
Special Advisor, Data Analytics
Carlos is an accomplished and innovative professional in AI and machine learning, data and quantitative analytics, as well as corporate planning and strategy. He has most recently led the AI division at BNY Mellon, and has held leadership roles in enterprise technology at TD Ameritrade and Credit Suisse, and has advised governments in areas of digital/data sovereignty.
Carlos has authored highly acclaimed research, and has patents to his name which have been taken to market and sold to Siemens. Currently, Carlos also serves as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
In addition to degrees in engineering from École Polytechnique de Paris, France and MIT, Carlos holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from UC Berkley.
